Ever heard of a special h23 (honda 2.3) engine?

i have a honda prelude with the h23a in it. the bolt came out of my rotor and totally messed up my distributor, so i had to order a new one. the mechanic said i had a special h23 that they only made for 5 months and my car fell into one of them 5 months. i put the new one on, set my timing and i runs like ****. like my whole car shakes. idk if its the wrong distributor bc i never heard of a special h23. what could be wrong with it?
