Mastiff ate the tip of her tail?

Oh man that sounds awful! I don't think it will hurt her judging from the amount she has eaten. I'm really glad you've been so proactive about the situation, it sounds like your friend is giving really good advice. Have you told the vet that she's eaten part of the tail? They might bump up the surgery because of that.
