What is the hose called that connects the intake manifold and valve cover on an 88 or 89 honda prelude?

I recently decided to polish my aluminum valve cover. While taking it off i accidentally broke the small plastic piece connecting a hose coming from the side of the intake manifold to the top of the valve cover. This is not just a breather. This being disconnected significantly crippled my engine. The check engine light came on and would barely run if i could get it to start at all. I need to know what the name for this plastic piece is. Thanks all for you help and concern.
