Can anybody help me figure out what to do with this guy?

So a few nights ago, my friend and I were at a party. He's in a long-distance relationship with a girl that is notorious for being promiscuous but he wants to move to be with her in the fall. They had a ual relationship when she came into town and haven't really talked since. We started making out and would have gone all the way, but we didn't have a condom. The next day, we hung out again and I swear I could see signs of interest from him. Today we hung out again, watched a movie at his house. He was taking me back home when I decided to ask him about us kissing. He said it wasn't good (that it happened considering his gf) and that it probably shouldn't again. I know it's bad, but I really want him in like a friends with benefits way, and I feel like a see that he wants one too. What should I do? /: I feel like it's obvious that I should just drop it, but I really want him. :P Advice, pleeease!
